B.  There are a number of ways. Firstly in turning the workpiece spins and tool stays stationary,whilst in milling it’s the other way round. In turning the tool moves across the lathe bed in forward-backward fashion and front-to-back but in normal operation never up and down. In milling you go across the workpiece all three ways. In turning you work across the whole face or section thereof as you cut, in milling you do not.

Turning produces round objects, milling produces linear or depth cuts. For instance, you may make a round bar of precisely 25mm that needs a keyway cut along it. You’d turn the bar to a diameter of 25mm, and then you’d cut the keyway on the milling machine. If you needed screw holes in the keyway, you could do this on the milling machine too but you’d be more likely to use a pedestal drill to let your milling machine do the next job.

In short you turn round things. You mill shaped things. But there are some caveats; the vertical milling cutter is round and so so will be the end of your cut.

C.  Turning is just the rotation of work piece or tool in chuck or spindle. While milling is an operation to be done on some work piece. In milling work piece is fixed while the tool’s position is to be change to do operation.
